Many companies distribute part of their profits as dividends. If you hold dividend-paying stocks, you may receive payments subject to the company’s dividend policy and the record date.

Stock prices move due to company earnings, news, macroeconomic data, interest rates, industry trends, and investor sentiment. Earnings reports and geopolitical events often cause short-term volatility.

Use diversification, position sizing, stop-loss orders, and avoid over-leveraging. Combine fundamental research with technical analysis and stay informed about market-moving events.
